I assume you mean SERP – which was mentioned on news, in relation to Alistair attempt to mislead Parliament and the electorate into believing pensioners were to receive a better than inflation increase from next April.
True – he did stipulate the apparently increase applied to the basic State Pension – but for many if not most, their weekly credits are shown as a single amount even though made up of 3 or more separate
One of these – the State Earnings Related Pension (SERP) and the old Graduated Pension – will NOT be increased – so the announcement was misleading.
If Darling had been open, honest and transparent – he would have explained what the actual increase meant in most cases – instead of enjoying a few days political – now exposed as misleading, now that have been able to read the small print.

You should have a wp-feed.php in the parent folder of your wordpress blog.

Also, make sure your blog is not set to private. Private blogs cannot have RSS feeds.

Find the Illustrator preferences plist (it will be buried somewhere in your User library or the System folder library) and trash it. Also try finding a file just Illustrator Preferences (there seems to be two different files, one called plist, one just called preferences) and trash that. Then Illustrator. When you get an overly complicated file, especially if you are using the Live Paint Function and/or gradients and gradient mesh, Illustrator gets bogged down and might not save because it complete the calculations involved. run into this myself (and I am using an Intel Core 2 Macbook Pro running Tiger; probably at least a year or so older than your machine).

Why would someone choose a pet as a fashion accessory?

I think that people do choose pets as fashion accessories. Although I agree that, yes, people like variety and novelty.

Celebrities like to be different– see how they name their children!! Names like "Apple" and "Moses" and "Rocco" and "Shiloh"… they like to be different! But just like I think naming the child a weird name means they would be a bad parent, I think that adopting a strange mix dog means they would be a bad owner.

To me, a love of variety.

Many other official AKC breeds off as mixed breeds that were the "designer" dogs of their day. Example is a French Bulldog in the 1800s. People enjoy mixing breeds to create new breeds, just human nature.

As for shelter dogs, I adopted a small senior shelter dog who was lovely. all for adopting shelter dogs…. but shelters do not have all types of dogs.

For example, on Petfinder there is only one yorkie up for adoption for the entire state of Illinois. There are two maltese in the entire state up for adoption…. some dogs have a bigger demand than supply.

I have never seen a "morkie" in a shelter. I have seen some "designer" breeds in shelters, but for many– especially the very small ones– there is a huge demand.

If demand outstrips supply then why not breed these healthy dogs?

(Obviously do not breed dogs with health issues.)

I agree with you on the about the health risks in neutering dogs, neutering early and what not. There are lots of risks, and I get why people see or want to see the cons.

What I agree with you on, comes in last paragraph. The majority of people are NOT responsible to keep an intact dog from unplanned pregnancy. This IS proved by the hundreds upon thousands of "Is my dog pregnant", "my dog is pregnant, what do I do", etc. etc. that flood this board every week. Those are the people who should have had their dog altered at the appropriate age.

The responsible people on here are the ones that try their best to get through the thick skulls of these people, often falling Majority of these people are the ones I have to say are responsible enough to have an intact dog. But this is only a small percentage of the population.

I would have to guestimate that 95-98% of the population should not own an intact dog because they are irresponsible

Relax, a semi-private golf course is just another golf course. As for dress code, they probably are referring to the standard golfing dress code, which says you can ware khaki capris, dress pants, dress (no jeans or anything denim). For top, a collared is fine (light color if it is sunny) but make sure you tuck it in. sleeve is fine too. Just have to be collared. If you have golf shoes, a CLEAN pair of tennis shoes or running shoes is ok (nobody will check). make sure you ware socks is fine). Technically, you should be wearing soft spike golf shoes, but courses generally are not concerned with shoes unless you show up in high heals or metal spiked bottom shoes.
As long as you follow the basic guidelines and dress up like going to tailgate be fine. Go enjoy the game.

I think they cost so much money because they know someone will pay all that money for a puppy or kitten. Paying also makes you think you got something really good. I have seen a Yorkie puppy that the owner paid $1500.00 US dollars for, the puppy had really bad knees, an open frontal, and a bad bite.
The breeder might also feel that if someone would shell out that much money for a animal that they would be able to provide a really good home for that animal.

Well…on the many courses I play and have played…a dress code can vary. Much more strict at the private and upscale public courses. So…call the golf course and ask the golf pro what the code is at that course. Some courses allow jeans…many to wear a collared o.k., but not!! shorts…and the things on the bottom of golf shoes today are "soft" spikes, not the old metal spikes we use to wear and not acceptable on all most all golf courses today. And I suppose the tennis shoes would be fine. let this un-nerve you…go play, have a great time…and enjoy a fabulous game of golf with your friends. I would call the course..tell what you plan to wear and see what they say. bet be fine.

It's not cruel, the dogs are put under so they feel a thing. Let me ask you, do you advocate sterilization? Major surgery that can also be very painful and not medically necessary, plus also carries risks down the road if done too early.
